We have many ways that you can get involved with House of Hope Emergency Women’s Shelter:
- Answering phones & intakes
- Food prepping & cooking
- Monthly Meal Sponsorships
- Fundraising
- Weekly, monthly or occasional volunteering
- Christian-based Bible Studies (must be pre-approved by the Director)
- Sponsorships for Christmas & holiday needs

Items Needed
As an emergency shelter for women & their babies, we are always in need of donations!
House of Hope also assists women on Social Security retirement who are unable to live independently.
And as a faith-based nonprofit, we rely solely on the generous donations from supporters like you!
Below are some examples of items we need & use on a daily basis:
- All toiletries (travel or large size)
- Over-the-counter medications / first aid supplies
- Gift cards (Lowe’s, Sam’s Club, Walmart, etc.)
- All paper products including but not limited to restroom needs, paper towels, plates, utensils, cups and more!
- Industrial or family size canned vegetables & fruit!
- Fresh or frozen vegetables & fruits!
- Dry beans, peas, etc.
- Dairy products!
- Meats of all kinds! (must be USDA approved)
- Spices, cooking spray & oils, soups, condiments, gravy mixes, instant potatoes, jello, pudding, chips & more!
- New twin sheets, pillows & pillow cases
- Clothing that is appropriate for job interviews, church & meetings as well as bus fare.
- Gift cards in amounts of $5.00 for McDonalds, Whataburger & other food establishments for job hunting!
